Field Programmes – Moravian-Silesian Region – An Opportunity for People Excluded from Housing

The main goal of the programme is to help people excluded from housing who are simultaneously considered with bias to be “problematic” and therefore “high-risk” for homeowners. Based on cooperation with actors in the real estate market, we will achieve and effective connection between those who need housing and the housing fund. The target groups will be able to live under normal conditions for an unlimited period. This innovation will save public resources (social benefits expenses) and increase the quality of housing at the same time.

Cooperation with clients takes place on an individual basis or in a small group (e.g. with a married couple). As part of the project´s key activities, we focus on supporting the target group´s functional literacy (knowledge of the law and duties regarding housing, financial literacy, defence against unjustified eviction attempts, etc.), supporting selected project members´ housing as well as strengthening cooperation with homeowners.

The “An Opportunity for People Excluded from Housing”, reg. no. CZ.1.04/3.1.02/B7.00050, was financed by the European Social Fund via the Operational Programme Human Resources and Employment and from the state budget of the Czech Republic. The project was implemented from 1.5.2014 to 30.6.2015 in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
