Preschool and Extracurricular Education Centre. (Grant Children 150/001/2017)

The Agrofert foundation´s 2017 grant financially supports the Preschool and Extracurricular Education Centre in Prostějov, which has since 2013 been providing preparation for socio-economically disadvantaged children at the age of 3 – 11 to enrol in a regular primary school and subsequently remain at school. At the centre, we strive to offset the obstacles in the lives of children which result in inadequate school maturity, decreased success rate at school, and a premature termination of the educational process.

Children at the age of 3-6 have assistant teachers at their disposal who will help them acquire basic hygiene and self-service skills, practice vocabulary, get rid of speech or language impairments, practice fine motor skills, and practice fine arts and music to make their transfer to primary school and preparation for preschool year as fluent as possible.

Children at the age of 6-11 can, with the help of assistant teachers, do their homework, go over their course materials, and practice what they have learned in a fun way.
