Humanitarian aid to socially excluded Roma men and women in Ukraine.

The project is funded by the Department of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

Project objective:

To improve the situation of Roma men and women in socially excluded Roma communities in western Ukraine, especially in the area of basic human needs.

For whom the project is intended:

The project is addressed to socially excluded Roma men and women in Ukraine in the localities of Mukachevo, Perechin, Zaričevo and Pavšino. Residents in these localities often face difficulties in accessing basic needs such as sufficient food or drinking water. The project particularly targets particularly vulnerable groups such as women, children, the elderly and the disabled.

What the project offers:

The project offers the above mentioned people assistance with basic needs through regular monthly humanitarian aid trips. The humanitarian aid includes distribution of basic household food packages, hot meals through community cooking, clothing, hygiene and school supplies.
