Center for Preschool and Extracurricular Education. (Grant Children 150/001/2017)

The Agrofert Foundation grant in 2017 financially supported the Center for Preschool and Extracurricular Education in Prostějov, which has been providing preparation for socio-economically disadvantaged children aged 3-11 for entry into regular primary school and subsequent retention at school since 2013. In the center, we aimed to compensate for obstacles in children's lives that resulted in insufficient school readiness, declining academic performance, and premature termination of the educational process.

Children aged 3-6 had assistant pedagogues available to help them acquire basic hygiene and self-care skills, expand their vocabulary, address speech impediments, practice fine motor skills, engage in artistic and musical activities, all with the aim of a smooth transition to primary school and preparation for the preschool year of kindergarten.

Children aged 6-11 could, with the help of assistant pedagogues, complete homework, review material covered in a calm environment, and practice previously learned material in a fun way.
