Center for Parenting Competence Support 2017

The project was implemented from the Family grant program.

The Center for Parenting Competence Support focused mainly on supporting parents from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The center's clients were children and families from socially disadvantaged areas of Prague 8 and the surrounding area. Specialized support (advisory, educational, psychosocial) provided by the center 

in cooperation with parents aimed to facilitate children's transition to preschool or elementary school.

What did the service offer?

• We advised parents on various issues related to child development, upbringing, and education,
• We supported parents in difficult situations,
• We offered the possibility of specialized consultations with our own and collaborating experts,
• We advised on complex financial situations,
• We provided speech therapy services for children.

OUR SERVICE WAS FREE OF CHARGE.

• We focused on working with children,
• We provided individual counseling to parents,
• We provided individual counseling for communication with authorities,
• We conducted group counseling (seminars) focusing on various life situations and issues, and supporting healthy child development.
