Children's group Romodrom Slaný
The children's group Romodrom Slaný was a project that aimed to expand childcare services at the place of implementation and improve conditions for the employment of women with children. The project supported women with children from socio-culturally disadvantaged backgrounds, for whom finding work is difficult. At the same time, we worked with the children in the group to prepare them for the transition to regular kindergarten and to be able to integrate into mainstream education, as they did not always receive as much care at home as they needed. As part of attending, children learned skills that they would apply in life.
The children spent time both in the premises of the Children's group and outside in the garden or on nearby playgrounds. As part of our services, a free counseling service for parents on parenting issues was also available. In Slaný, Romodrom o.p.s. has a target group of people interested in placing their children in the newly established children's group, thanks to the functional Center for Preschool Education.
The project had a capacity of 12 places, and the children's group was open every weekday from 8 am to 4 pm, with children aged 1 to 6 years old able to attend.
The project was launched in May 2016 and lasted until April 2020.
