OAMP - Coordination and provision of assistance to refugees in the Zlín Region
Providing direct assistance to foreigners in the Department of Residence of Foreigners of the OAMP MV (Department of Asylum and Migration Policy of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic)
The project was implemented from February 1 to December 31, 2023, thanks to funding from the Department of Asylum and Migration Policy of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic within the grant program "Integration of Foreigners 2023". The aim of the project was to ensure smooth operation of the center and efficient provision of support to Ukrainian refugees at the workplace of the Department of Asylum and Migration Policy in Zlín, considering the expected high workload.
Who the project was intended for:
The project was intended for third-country nationals legally residing in the Czech Republic. Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, it was expected that the vast majority would be refugees from Ukraine. The project activities were focused on the Zlín Region.
What the project offered:
Within the project, clients were provided with services that allowed them to go through the entire process of applying for support. This mainly included interpretation, assistance with the Czech language, coordination of arrivals and individual cases, counseling on assistance and the foreigner system, assistance with registration, filling out forms, and other administrative tasks. These activities were always carried out by a team of a social worker and an interpreter during the operational hours of the center. Their work contributed to the smooth operation of the Department of Asylum and Migration Policy of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic in Zlín by providing necessary services to both refugees and center staff.
