Education for Employment

The main goal of the project was the labor integration of 4 individuals from a different sociocultural background, members of the ethnic (Romani) minority living permanently in the capital city of Prague. Due to the accumulation of various problems among many members of the target group (Romani minority in Prague) contributing to their exclusion from the labor market: inadequate education and low qualifications, lack of experience with long-term employment and insufficient work habits, discrimination in the labor market due to ethnic origin, etc., the project aimed to eliminate these limiting constraints.

Within the project, four individuals obtained education (qualification courses Social Services Worker and Assistant Pedagogue) and training employment in our functioning facilities Family Competence Center 2x, Low-threshold facility for children and youth Club K09, prison field program PREROD). They also received individual motivational support and counseling, actively participated in team supervisions, etc.

The project resulted in 4 supported individuals who, thanks to funding from the European Social Fund, gained higher qualifications and thus better employment opportunities. Two project participants became employees of our organization, and we are assisting the other two in finding employment.
