Stravou ke zdraví

The Stravou ke zdraví project was funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps program.

The aim of the project was to raise awareness about healthy and diverse nutrition and its importance, especially among the Roma community. The project involved a group of young people who decided to use their interest in healthy eating to address a wider audience and promote a healthier approach to life and better awareness. Additionally, this project was an opportunity to expand and acquire new skills related to project implementation, video creation, promotion, communication with third parties, etc.

What the project involved:

Team members filmed videos about healthy and affordable cooking. This included purchasing ingredients - local ingredients were chosen whenever possible, produced or grown in the Czech Republic. The team then cooked healthy food under the supervision of a nutrition coach using these ingredients. The video was then post-produced. In one of the videos, a nutrition specialist cooked, and in another video, a publicly known figure appeared.

The project focused on educating and promoting a healthy lifestyle and sustainable approach, especially within the Roma community in the town of Slaný. In Slaný, we also distributed flyers with information about the project, and at the end of the project, we prepared a tasting of the cooked food for the local community.
