HomeLab
The project was financed by the European Commission, through the leading member of the Metropolitan Research Institute project.
The main goal of the project was to provide integrated social services focused on housing and employment for disadvantaged groups of residents. The project was based on the assumption that housing and employment issues must be addressed simultaneously to help people maintain housing and ensure adequate income. Within the project, a model of a Social Rental Enterprise was developed to fit local conditions.
Romodrom o.p.s. implemented this international project called Integrated Housing and Labour Services in the Social Rental Enterprise Model, abbreviated as the HomeLab project. The project was led by the Hungarian organization Metropolitan Research Institute and was carried out in four European countries by five NGOs - Habitat for Humanity Poland in Poland, Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta and Utcarol Lakasba in Hungary, and Člověk v tísni in Slovakia. Romodrom o.p.s. became the project partner for the Czech Republic.
The project placed great emphasis on measuring and evaluating results and impacts in all participating countries. In addition to providing integrated housing and employment services, the project assessed the model's success through questionnaire surveys on the target and control groups.
The project lasted a total of 36 months and served 225 individuals in all countries (45 in the Czech Republic in three regions - Pardubice, Olomouc, and Moravian-Silesian).
The project was implemented from 1st October 2016 to 30th September 2019.
