Project goal:
Improving the situation of Roma men and women in socially excluded Roma communities in western Ukraine, especially in the area of basic human needs.
Who the project was intended for:
The project was intended for socially excluded Roma men and women in Ukraine in the locations of Mukachevo, Perechin, Zarichovo, and Pavshino. Residents in these locations often face difficult access to basic needs such as sufficient food or drinking water. The project particularly focuses on especially vulnerable groups, such as women, children, seniors, and people with disabilities.
What the project offered:
The project offered assistance to the aforementioned individuals in securing basic needs through regular monthly trips with humanitarian aid. As part of the humanitarian aid, packages of basic food items for households are distributed, warm meals through community cooking, as well as clothing, hygiene, and school supplies.
