Humanitarian Response, Protection, and Recovery for Socially Excluded Ukrainian Roma

The "Humanitarian Response, Protection, and Recovery for Socially Excluded Ukrainian Roma" project was funded by C&A through the COFRA Foundation. Romodrom implemented it from May 1 to December 31, 2023.


Project Objective:
  • Improving the situation of Roma individuals in socially excluded Roma communities in western Ukraine, especially in the area of basic human needs.


Target Audience:
  • The project targeted socially excluded Roma individuals in Ukraine in the locations of Mukachevo, Perechyn, Zarichovo. Residents in these areas often face difficulties in accessing basic needs such as food and drinking water.
  • The project focused on particularly vulnerable groups, including women, children, seniors, and people with disabilities.


What the Project Offered:
  • The project provided assistance to the aforementioned groups in securing basic needs through regular monthly trips with humanitarian aid. The humanitarian aid included distribution of basic food packages for households, hot meals through community cooking, as well as clothing, hygiene, and school supplies.
