Improvement of Situation of Ukrainian Roma in Czech Republic and Ukraine
...or improvement of the situation of Ukrainian Roma in the Czech Republic and Ukraine. The project, funded by the ERGO Network organization based in Belgium, took place between January 1 and February 28, 2023. Romodrom, together with the Slovo21 organization, participated in it.
Romodrom's part of the project aimed to respond to the specific needs of Ukrainian Roma who were located in Ukraine and affected by the impacts of the war. During the visits, humanitarian aid was offered to them in the form of providing food, community cooking, and replenishing the local food pantry with durable goods.
Who the project was intended for:
The project was intended for Roma refugees, their families, and neighbors who returned to Ukraine from the Czech Republic or who live in conditions in Ukraine that did not allow them to leave the country. Assistance was primarily provided in three locations in Zakarpatska Ukraine - Mukachevo, Perechin, and Zarechevo.
