Club K09 - Low-threshold facility for children and youth - Capital City Prague

Low-threshold facility for children and youth is a registered social service according to §62 of Act No. 108/2006 Coll. on social services.

Target group:
  • Children and youth aged 6 to 26 at risk of socially undesirable phenomena.
  • During opening hours, the target group is limited to ages 9-19, while other clients may come outside opening hours for individual consultations.

Dealing with service seekers:
  • When dealing with service seekers, we try to determine their age and request.
  • They must also agree to the service rules, which we will explain in detail to them.

Detailed description of service implementation:

The low-threshold facility for children and youth aims to provide support to cope with difficult life events, reduce social risks arising from conflict situations, lifestyle, and risky behavior, increase social skills and abilities of children and adolescents, support social inclusion in peer groups and society, including involvement in local community activities, and ensure necessary psychological, physical, legal, and social protection during their stay in the facility and conditions for personal activities. This service is intended for children and youth who are in difficult life situations or are at risk of such situations, and who do not seek standard forms of institutionalized help and care. It involves establishing contact, providing information, professional assistance, support, and creating conditions for social inclusion and positive change in lifestyle. All these activities are carried out through individual planning. Group work is also part of the service.

Handling complaints:

In case of dissatisfaction with our service, whether from clients or people outside the service, complaints can be submitted in several ways. We accept complaints in anonymous and non-anonymous forms. Non-anonymous complaints are responded to directly by the complainant. In the case of anonymous complaints, we post the response on a notice board established in the club for this purpose.

Termination of Service:

Users may terminate cooperation with the social service provider at any time, even without stating a reason. Termination of cooperation by the provider can only occur due to a serious violation of the cooperation rules by the user of the social service (such as sanctioning the exclusion of the user, for example, if the user physically attacks an employee). Termination of cooperation between the contractual parties occurs when the user of the social service interrupts contact or when the contracted task in the individual plan is fulfilled (and the user does not request further services).

Payments for Services:
  • The service is provided free of charge.
  • In the case of optional activities (activities outside the club, excursions), free provision cannot always be guaranteed. For example, the user pays for transportation, entrance fees, etc.
  • Participation in such events is always voluntary.

Facilities, Material, and Technical Equipment:

The club space consists of one larger main room (contact room) and one small room used for individual discussions between staff and clients. Basic club equipment includes furniture, PCs, a foosball table, board games, books, and art supplies.
