Professional Social Counseling
The project Social Services Romodrom Liberec, reg. no .: CZ.03.2.60/0.0/0.0/16_052/0007796 was financed by the European Social Fund, through the Operational Program Employment.
The aim of the project was to improve social inclusion and prevent social exclusion through the provision of professional social counseling services. The service offered assistance in resolving difficult economic situations for individuals at risk of over-indebtedness, those at risk of social exclusion, and the socially excluded. The service was provided both in the user's natural environment and in an outpatient clinic, which provided the necessary privacy to address the needs of the target group.

Who was the service intended for?
- individuals over 18 years old,
- individuals living in socially excluded communities,
- individuals leading a risky lifestyle or at risk of leading such a lifestyle,
- ethnic minorities.
What the service offered:
This was a registered social service according to § 37 of Act No. 108/2006 Coll. on social services, provided in the Liberec region, within which we offer basic counseling and active assistance to users through outpatient and field work forms.
As an accredited entity, we offered these debt counseling services:
- social counseling - we supported users in resolving unfavorable social situations (individually and according to their needs), offered the possibility to address the user's needs in a natural environment (we drove to them by agreement),
- housing - counseling in the area of housing, the possibility of creating a housing financial plan (benefits, rent, services, utilities), providing basic legal services related to housing (contracts, terminations), support in communication with housing owners and landlords,
- social benefits - specialized counseling in the field of benefit legislation, negotiation of non-insurance social benefits by the Department of Material Need in favor of the user,
- family and criminal law - processing citizenship and documents, communication with the registry office,
- employment - counseling in negotiations with the Labor Office of the Czech Republic, basic evaluation of the user's situation in terms of suitable employment selection, counseling in labor law, mediation of contact with employers to obtain a job for the user of the service,
- debt counseling - providing expert debt counseling from debt analysis to personal bankruptcy, mapping the user's financial situation and support in financial management, providing legal advice on contract conclusion and asset management,
- legal counseling - providing the possibility of legal consultation in justified cases, consultation on legal acts (drafting applications, appeals, proposals, and assistance with official documents), assistance in contacting legal institutions.
- Communication with institutions and related services - advice on communication with courts, mediation of professional help such as psychotherapists, psychiatrists, and escort to related institutions, providing information on related services in social, health, and educational areas,
- Criminal activity - presidential pardons, advice on parole requests, cooperation on direct cases of clients who have committed a crime or offense or have become victims of a crime (usury, etc.), cooperation on security measures with the police concerning clients.
- The service is provided to users free of charge,
- Clients are guided towards independence,
- Each user is approached individually by the worker, taking into account their needs, possibilities, resources, social situation, and personal plans,
- The client's decision in choosing a solution to their adverse situation is fully respected by the workers,
- Service workers provide assistance to users independently and inform users that they do not have the authority of a state employee,
- The worker does not take sides when dealing with users, applying equal treatment to all users,
- All workers meet the professional qualifications according to Act No. 108/2006 Coll., on social services
- and continuously educate themselves.
Principles of provision:
The Social Services Project Romodrom Liberec was implemented from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2020.
