New project: Acquisition of facilities for social services in the Liberec region

The project with registration number CZ.06.04.02/00/22_014/0002221 addresses the improvement of care provided within social services in the district of Liberec, specifically field programs and professional social counseling. The project tackles the increasing demand for social services from target groups facing difficult life situations. These individuals and families simultaneously require support from third parties in the form of social work to be able to stand on their own feet.
Thanks to the project, target groups will get a new chance to return to normal life. Ensuring field programs and expert social counseling will ensure quality care for target groups in the Liberec district, awareness will increase, for example, about housing arrangements, target groups will be able to focus more on finding employment, addressing addictions, debts, family problems, and other social issues they have encountered due to difficult life situations. They will gradually be able to integrate into mainstream society. Social workers from the non-governmental organization Romodrom o.p.s. will help them with this.
The project "Establishment of Background for Social Services in the Liberec Region" is co-financed by the European Union.

Radek Šandor is the head of a field prison program in Liberec, the administrator of social housing in Liberec, and the founder of a furniture bank, from where furniture is further distributed to those who currently need it. For the latter activity, he even received an award for volunteer work: Křesadlo. He has been involved in social work for 15 years and it is clear that "his work is his calling".

First prize for fighting homelessness

Homelessness is a global issue, the solution of which is a long-term process. One of the answers to this question is the Housing First program, which has been running for the second year in Karviná and is a result of successful cooperation between Romodrom and Nové možnosti, z.ú. Eva Nedomová's team fights against homelessness, and Europe has appreciated it.
