The project focused on supporting the integration of Romani refugee children and their families in the Czech Republic. The main goal was to improve access to healthcare, education, social services, and child protection services.

The project was intended for Roma children of refugees and their families living in the territory of the Czech Republic.
What the project offered:
Educational and leisure activities
Within the project, 5 educational classes were created, where children of preschool and school age participated in teaching and extracurricular activities, coordinated by coordinators and assistants with knowledge of Ukrainian.
Legal and communication strategy
The aim was to improve the rights and conditions of Romani refugees in the Czech Republic; the strategy was focused on institutions, experts, and the majority society.
Research and monitoring
We monitored the situation in various regions and analyzed the mobility of Romani refugees in the Czech Republic and beyond.
Mobile team of experts:
The project involved a mobile team that provided comprehensive support to children and families at risk. This team consisted of:
coordinator/researcher,
education expert,
networking specialist,
child psychologist,
special education teacher.
This team:
visited individual locations where Roma refugee families live;
assessed the individual situations of children at risk and proposed suitable solutions;
when needed, connected families with other experts - pediatricians, psychiatrists, lawyers, and other specialists;
collaborated with the local community and institutions to ensure long-term support for children and families.
The project aimed to effectively and comprehensively address the issues of Roma Ukrainian children, relying on regular monitoring and mapping of the situation in various regions.
